At Skipper, our mission is to make zero-waste easy and accessible to all; and to turn everyday habits into a force for good. How? Through innovative products that eliminate plastic waste and reduce emissions from everyday items we consume at home. Our suite of “just-add-water” products are adored by hundreds of thousands of proud, progressive Aussies all around the country, and over the next few years, beyond the seas too.

Since launching our first product, a zero-waste hand soap in Jan 2021, we achieved multi-million dollar revenues and profitability within 18 months. We’ve since hit 8-figure revenues, raised capital from a world-class venture fund, and collected over 100 tonnes of plastic waste. Today, we are actively preventing thousands of plastic bottles from being purchased every single day.

In 2024, we did the unthinkable. We changed everything. We rebranded our business from Tirtyl to Skipper, and changed the look and feel of all of our products. Now equipped with stronger brand foundations and better-than-ever products, we’re looking to unlock the next stage of audacious growth. To achieve our goals, we need the most ambitious talent…

You’ll be at the heart of content at Skipper. 🙋🙌 Shaping what we say, how we show up and how we connect with our audience.

This is a high-impact, creatively led role for someone who sees content as more than just output, and more like a creative playground. You’ll help grow Skipper’s presence across Meta, TikTok, YouTube and wherever else makes sense. All content areas are in play and we want to shape the role to you, not the other way round!

If you’re after a team that values sharp thinking, original ideas and experimenting before things are perfect, you’ll feel right at home. We move quickly, back each other and care about the people behind the pixels. You’ll report to our Marketing Manager and collaborate closely with our Marketing Associates. There’s structure when you need it and space when you don’t.

What you’ll be doing

Strategy & Insight

  • Bring smart, creative ideas to the table that connect with our mission
  • Keep a close eye on trends, shifts and culture signals and know when to follow or zag
  • Build thoughtful content calendars that balance planning with room to experiment

Content Creation

  • Plan, write, film, edit and publish content across platforms, including both paid and organic
  • Feel confident behind the camera and comfortable in front of it too, we’d love you to be part of the brand’s voice and face
  • Collaborate with our team, community and partners to create UGC and campaign assets that feel real, not just polished

Collaboration & Community

  • Help build a culture where content isn’t owned by one person, but shaped together, with ideas flowing from across the team, not just the marketing desk
  • Own content creation and work closely with the marketing team and Founders to align creative with business goals
  • Show up for our audience with consistency, clarity and care
  • Support partnerships and creator outreach that help bring new people into our story

Learning & Growth

  • Track what’s working and what’s not, and build on it
  • Share thoughtful performance insights with the team in a way that helps us all grow
  • Contribute to shaping Skipper’s broader creative and brand strategy

    What we're looking for

We’re not big on ticking boxes, but here’s what will set you up for success in this role

  • 3+ years’ experience, or demonstrated ability through hobbies and side projects- whether that’s in photography, videography, journalism, organic socials, or marketing. We’re looking for someone with charisma and energy in front of a camera.
  • A good mix of creativity, organisation and curiosity. You know how to turn a great idea into something real
  • Confident writing, editing video and designing for digital platforms
  • Comfortable in front of the camera and confident behind it too
  • A strong sense of visual and written brand tone. You understand us and are keen to deepen it
  • Open-minded to how new technology and AI are changing the way content is made, without forgetting the authentically human side of a brand is more important than ever
  • You're on the tools: CapCut, Canva, Meta Business Suite, Adobe and Asana (or keen to learn)
  • A thoughtful communicator with good instincts and great attention to detail
  • Capable at planning and prioritising in complex environments
  • Have a bias towards action and an entrepreneurial spirit that can thrive in a fast-changing space
  • Are passionate about sustainability and making a difference
  • Willing to roll up your sleeves just like our Founders
  • Embrace positivity, through the good times and the tough ones
  • Are confident and driven but also humble and a great learner/listener
  • Know when to take your foot off the pedal, relax and have fun too. Work is important, but so is life!

Hourly Rate: $26-29/hr + super (depending on experience) + access to annual bonus.

Availability: Monday to Friday, 7am to 3:30pm

About the role 

We are looking for bubbly, reliable, and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistants to join our growing team. 

You will work in a team to uphold high standards of fulfillment, support daily operations, and help create a positive customer experience and supportive family-like work environment. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Support the team to meet daily fulfillment targets.
  • Follow warehouse procedures to maintain high order accuracy.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors. 

What we’re looking for

  • Previous warehouse or fulfilment experience is preferred but not essential
  • A desire to grow with the business into supervisor and management roles
  • A good mix of accuracy, speed, and proactive problem solving. 
  • Kind, reliable, punctual, and respectful
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
  • A proactive mindset to safety
